Houseboat Trip To Captiva Island

We'll be meeting at the Harbors Marina in North Ft Myers on Friday . After everyone is on board this 41' houseboat. We'll head out to Popcorn Bay, A very secluded anchorage for the night. From their it will be a northern direction up the ICW (Inter Coastal Waterway). Saturday night will find us at  the nude beach just off the the Northern end of Captiva Island . After some swimming, shelling, Jet Skiing  and perhaps a cookout on the beach we'll pull the hook and head a short distance over to the dock at Barnacle Phils' Bar for diner and a few drinks. When you're ready to call it a night or want to move the party, their is a nice anchorage just off the northern tip of Captiva Island that should provide good protection for the night. Sunday morning Anchors' up by 8 am (well maybe 9) and off to Cabbage Key . This was the home of mystery novelist Mary Rinehart. She parched the island for 2,500 bucks in 1938, what a deal! Her home is built on an Indian shell mound. Their are no cars on this island, not even roads but lots of beautiful trails. You won't want to miss Cabbage Key Inn, a very colorful Inn and a great place to grab a cold one and enjoy the view. If you clime the water tower some great pictures can be yours of the Gulf and the entire Island.  Don't get lost as we have to leave by noon to make it back to the marina by 4:00 pm.  On this trip we'll have plenty of beach time, Kayaking and Jet Skies So come ready for a very fun and relaxing weekend.

This is a BYOB, we will be eating out Saturday night ( their will be food if you choose not to) but other wise food and rental is included. Fuel is extra, bring your snorkel gear. light clothing. Nudity is ok anytime on the boat but when we're at the dock a swimsuit would be required. We will also have ;

2 person kayak and two 3 person Jet Skies to use. this trip is nothing but fun !!! Don't forget your camera......
